Home of many Ticos from the Central Valley who have maintained second home on the beach for years, is the hidden point great for resting between destinations or perfect beach to get lost on for a few days!

Playa San Miguel is an undeveloped beach community with a handful of year round residents, beach rentals, lodging and restaurants, a gorgeous stretch of empty beach, good surf, swaying palms and an estuary that attracts a variety of wildlife.

San Francisco de Coyote serves as a local commercial center with supermarkets, restaurants, hardware stores, a mechanic that also serves as the local gas station, and a few random small businesses that offer Internet services and basic staples to the local community. A daily bus passes through twice providing connections to Jicaral & Bejuco.

La Javilla is a tiny village located on the outskirts of San Miguel approx 2 km from the beach and set amid beautiful farmland and rolling green hills. Less than 2 dozens Tico families live along the single road that makes up the town as well as the local church, school, and a hotel and restaurant.

Pueblo Nuevo centrally located provides access to Samara, Nicoya, Jicaral and the Southern tip of the Peninsula. In the center of town you can find a local restaurant, hardware store, supermarket and place to buy gas.
